AFGH vs SA Dream11 Prediction | Afghanistan vs South Africa Match Preview | Fantasy Team & Team News
A lot was riding on Afghanistan’s shoulders when they qualified for the World Cup after beating West Indies. Everyone expected them to treat them to some upsets in this tournament but now, this dream looks too far fetched.
With the change in captaincy right before the tournament, Afghanistan has not looked focused enough. Their match versus Sri Lanka was heavily criticized especially for their multitude of silly mistakes on the field. What’s more disturbing is the fact that their second-highest run scorer and wicketkeeper Shahzad Khan was removed from the team due to fitness concerns.
While Afghanistan is still considered an underdog team, their results haven’t been too worrying for cricket lovers. What’s more disappointing is the performance of the current South African squad. The dip is understandable since they lost their 2 best bowlers, Dale Steyn, and Lungi Ngidi to injuries but that doesn’t justify losing to Bangladesh by conceding 300+ runs. South Africa in the past has always been one of the favorites entering into the World Cup bit this time their exit seems to be evident.
Afghanistan is last on the points table with 0 out of 3 match wins and South Africa, just above them with 0 out of 4 wins (1 match abandoned).

Fantasy Picks from South Africa
Q d Kock | R v der Dussen | Chris Woakes | Imran Tahir
- It’s hard to select reliable batsmen from South Africa’s lineup currently. None of them have been too eye-catching. Quinton de Kock is still a solid choice. In 2019, he has racked up 587 runs from 12 matches at an average of 53.36 which is still good compared to the rest of South Africa’s batting performances.
- Chris Morris part of the few balanced players in the team. While being the primary all-rounder of the team. He was brought in from Proteas’s second match, where he scored 10 off 10 but grabbed 2 wickets. In his second match versus India, he managed to score 42 off 34 (team’s highest) and got 1 wicket with the ball as well.
- Rassie van der Dussen is also a confident pick. He’s scored 113 in the last 3 matches, making him the highest scorer in South Africa.
- Along with Kagiso Rabada, spinner Imran Tahir has been putting up numbers, grabbing 15 wickets in 10 matches with an even lower 4.51 overall economy. He took important wickets of Shakib Al Hasan and Mohamad Mithun versus Bangladesh even though they couldn’t turn the match to their favor.
