Windies vs Afghanistan MPL Prediction Team Prediction:
The first of the three one-day internationals between Afghanistan and Windies will be played at Lucknow tomorrow noon. Both the teams will then play three T20Is and a solitary test at the same venue later in the month.
Afghanistan – who will be playing at the home ground in Lucknow will be lead by Rashid Khan for the first time in ODIs. Rashid Khan was handed captaincy after Afghanistan’s poor outing in the CWC 2019 where they failed to win a single game under the captaincy of Gulbadin Naib. Since his appointment as a regular captain, Rashid Khan has led the side to a historic Test win over Bangladesh as well as T20I wins over Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in a tri-series afterwards.
Windies, on the other hand, has also undergone a few changes. They will be now led by Kieron Pollard in one day and T20 internationals. Experienced campaigners like Carlos Brathwaite, Sunil Narine, Chris Gayle and Andre Russell are missing out from the squad and a few new names such as Brandon King, Hayden Walsh Jr., Romario Shepherd and Khary Pierre have been included following their impressive performances in the CPL 2019.
So, both the teams will be looking to kick off with a win along with an eye on improving their ODI forms.
