Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav’s name may come as a bit of a surprise but he’s certainly a candidate who can replace Cheteshwar Pujara in the Indian Test team in the series against England if the latter suffered an injury in the ongoing series.
Despite scoring an ample amount of runs in the domestic circuit consistently, Suryakumar Yadav failed to cut into the Indian squad but he kept working hard and scored runs consistently in the domestic circuits and IPL. His hard work finally paid off and he won the trust of selectors this year when he was selected for the white-ball series against England and then was rewarded for his white-ball performances with a call-up to England to join the India side as a replacement for the injured players.
