Leeds Test in 2002
The Leeds Test victory in 2002 has been one of the biggest victories in the history of Indian cricket in SENA countries. The visitors came into the third Test of the four-match series trailing 1-0 after losing the series-opener.
Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly won the toss and decided to bat first on a green top, which surprised almost everyone, the decision, however, turned out to be a correct one. Rahul Dravid (148), Sachin Tendulkar (193) and Ganguly (128) dominated the hosts’ bowling attack and helped visitors post a mammoth total of 628 runs
In reply, England was bowled out on just 273 in the first innings, with the spin duo of Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble taking six wickets them.
