The final day of the second Test match between England and India has been at its exciting best so far. The home side after being on the top of their game on Day 4, got the big wicket of Rishabh Pant in the first hour of the play. However, just when it seemed the Joe Root-led side are asserting their authority, Indian tailenders wagged and made sure that Virat Kohli-led side had better of England in the first session.
Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah take India’s lead past 250
Resuming the innings on an overnight score of 181/6, it almost seemed that like fans are in for a Rishabh Pant special after he smoked James Anderson for four by coming down the track but the excitement soon turned out to be a disappointment as the southpaw managed to nick one of off Ollie Robinson for 22 runs.

The dismissal of Pant brought Mohammad Shami to the crease and he along with Ishant Sharma contributed 15 runs until the lanky pacer was trapped in LBW by Ollie Robinson for 16. Shami then joined hands with Jasprit Bumrah and made sure that Team India’s lead surpasses the 250-run mark. The pace-bowling duo frustrated Englishmen and stitched 77 runs partnership, scoring all around the ground.
While Mohammad Shami reached his fifty with a six Jasprit Bumrah was very watchful for his 29*. At Lunch on Day 5, the Virat Kohli-led side are 259 runs of ahead of England’s score and are 286/8 with both the pacers going strong with the bat.

ENG vs IND Live: Tensions flare high between England and India at Lord’s
Tempers have started to flare in the ongoing second Test between England and India. While James Anderson and Virat Kohli were engaged in a verbal spat on Day 4, Jasprit Bumrah and Mark Wood exchanged some words on Day 5. The incident even saw English skipper Joe Root getting involved in between and calm the situation.
