Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh – Bangladesh have suffered a body blow as they will be without their captain for the remainder of the series against Zimbabwe.
Nurul Hasan ruled out of the series
Bangladesh have toured Zimbabwe to play a brief white ball series that includes 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. With the first 2 T20Is having completed, Bangladesh captain Nurul Hasan has been ruled out of the 3rd T20I along with the 3 one day games that is set to follow. The wicket-keeper batsman sustained an injury while keeping in the 2nd T20I and appeared to be in pain. According to Sany’s ESPNcricinfo quote,
We did an X-ray which revealed a fracture to the index finger. Such injuries take about three weeks to recover from. He is therefore out of Tuesday’s last T20 match and the upcoming ODI series
It will be a bit of a worry for the Bangladesh with the series on the line. Nurul Hasan was named as the captain of the side after their regular skipper Mahmudullah was rested for this series. Bangladesh lost the first T20I pretty badly but cameback strongly to level the series with a win in the 2nd game. Nurul Hasan has been in good form in the recent past. He is an attacking batsman down the order and it will be a difficult task for Bangladesh to manage the decider without him.

Litton Das to be the captain of the side
Bangladesh haven’t named a replacement for Nurul Hasan to captain the side in his absence, but it is expected that another wicket keeper batsman in the team in Litton Das to captain the 3rd and final T20I. Litton Das is in the form of his life and this opportunity couldn’t have come at a better stage of his career.
There is one other wicket-keeper in the squad in Parvez Hossain Emon. The southpaw hasn’t made his international debut yet, there is every possibility that he could replace his injured captain in the playing 11 for the 3rd T20I.
