Royal Challengers Bangalore had a poor outing in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League. The franchise finished fourth in the points tally, failing to qualify for the playoffs. They managed to win only two of their eight league stage matches.
Royal Challengers Bangalore has a very strong squad, which is led by Indian batter Smriti Mandhana. Ellyse Perry is another big name in the squad, alongside the likes of Sophie Devine and Renuka Thakur.
The franchise had a good auction, where they added players to bolster their strength in the bowling department. Although, they underperformed last year, they will look to go all the way in the second season of the WPL.

On the other hand, Ellyse Perry also had a decent WPL campaign, scoring 253 runs at an average of 42.16. However, she disappointed with the ball, as she could pick up just four wickets at an average of 48.50.
