WI vs IND Test: Bumrah writes history, adds another feather in the cap for Kohli

The first test of WI vs IND series in Antigua brought many good news for Indian Test cricket team. The test which left a bitter taste in the mouth of Windies was also the first match of ICC Test Championship for both the teams. For India, it is time for celebration when team captain Virat Kohli, has once again written down history in test cricket.

The list of records is long and we have mentioned each one of them below:
Virat Kohli has become the only captain to win 12 Test victories for India away from home. Before that, Sourav Ganguly held this record of 11 wins in 28 matches while Kohli did it in 26 Tests.
Along with this Kohli also has a record win of most Test for team India as a captain. Although he shares this record with Mr. Perfect MS Dhoni who has taken 60 matches to do it whilst Kohli who did it in just 47 Test.
The biggest margin of India’s win under Kohli
India has registered the biggest victory in terms of run margin. India beat Windies with a difference of 318 runs. Before this, India was once able to get a 300-plus win in Galle in 2017 when they beat Sri Lanka by 304 runs.
This was also the lowest total made by West Indies against India in a Test match and also the lowest 50+ score for the last pair or tenth wicket partnership in Test cricket.
Bumrah’s made history with five wickets haul for the fourth time
Bumrah has become the first-ever bowler in Test history to take a five wickets haul in his maiden tours to South Africa, England, Australia and West Indies.
Bumrah took 5 wickets off seven runs in the second inning of WI vs IND first Test. The other cheaper five wicket hauls in Test cricket are Ernie Toshack (5/2), Jermaine Lawson (6/3) and Bert Ironmonger (5/6)
