Why Does India’s Jersey Have ‘Pakistan’ on It?

The official Champions Trophy 2025 logo is printed on the jersey, and since Pakistan is the host nation, its name appears as part of the design. Many assumed India would avoid featuring Pakistan’s imprint on their kits, but ICC regulations require teams to wear the official tournament logo.

The debate intensified when ICC shared images of Indian players, including captain Rohit Sharma, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, power-hitter Hardik Pandya, and young pacer Arshdeep Singh, wearing the jersey while receiving awards. This confirmed that the design was intentional and not an oversight.

To clear the air, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia addressed the situation, stating that the Indian team must follow ICC rules. He explained that all participating teams must wear the tournament’s official branding, which includes the host nation’s name.

India will start its campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 at the Dubai International Stadium. The much-anticipated India vs. Pakistan match is scheduled for February 23, drawing massive attention from cricket fans worldwide.
