India vs Netherlands: India thumps Netherlands by 56 runs to register their second CONSECUTIVE win of T20 World Cup 2022 

Indian Cricket Team continued their winning run as they thumped the Netherlands to register their second consecutive win in the T20 World Cup 2022. Batting first, after winning the toss, they lost KL Rahul (9) early and were tumbling at 11/1. But skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli stitched 73 runs partnership for the second wicket to bring their side back in the game.

While Rohit perished after scoring 53 runs, Virat Kohli batted for full innings and smashed his second consecutive half-century of the tournament. He ended with a score of unbeaten 62 runs. Suryakumar Yadav too played part as he smashed unbeaten 51 runs to help India post a target of 179 runs on the board.

In the second innings, India yet again was on top as they removed both the openers Vikramjit Singh (1) and Max ODowd (16) for just 20 runs and then Axar Patel took his second wicket of the day in Bas de Leede to left the opposition tumbling at 47/3. Colin Ackermann (17) tried his best but was back in hut as R Ashwin sent him packing before he removed Tom Cooper for 9 runs in the same over to leave the Dutch tottering at 63/5. Mohammad Shami then joined the party and removed Tim Pringle for 20 runs. A staggering combined bowling effort helped India restrict the opposition to the total of 123 runs and win the game by 56 runs.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav was awarded Man of the Match in the game between India and Netherlands. He played a sensational inning of unbeaten 51 runs that upped the ante of Indian innings and helped them post 179 runs on the board. He came to bat when India lost Rohit Sharma for 53 runs and went right from ball 1. His innings were laced with 7 fours and 1 six and he also stitched a crucial 95-run partnership with Virat Kohli (62).
