BAN vs IND 2nd Test: The second Test between Bangladesh and India was an enthralling contest. It went down to the wire as both the teams fought tooth and nail and did everything to outclass the opposition. But in the end it was the KL Rahul-led side who held their nerves well and clinched the game to seal the series 2-0.

Bangladesh won and toss and decided to bat first. But it wasn’t the kind of performance they would’ve wanted as their batters struggled to get going and could manage only 227 runs on the board as none of the batter except Mominul Haque crossed 25-run mark.

The southpaw batted staggeringly and scored 84 runs to power his side to a competitive total. For India, it was a combined bowling effort as Umesh Yadav and R Ashwin picked four wicket hauls and two wickets by Jaydev Unadkat helped India bundle out the opposition for just 227 runs.

In the second innings, India tumbled to get going as well as they lost KL Rahul (10), Shubman Gill (20), Cheteshwar Pujara (24) and Virat Kohli (24) early that saw them tottering at 94/4. But after that it was Rishabh Pant’s show, who scored a blistering 94-run knock and bailed India out of trouble.

But things didn’t go their way while chasing as they lost KL Rahul (2), Shubman Gill (7), Cheteshwar Pujara (6) and Virat Kohli (1) for just 37 runs. Axar Patel, who was promoted up the order, showed great grit and scored 34 runs. But India lost wickets in clusters Rishabh Pant too back in the hut and saw them tumbling at 74/7.

But in the end Shreyas Iyer (29) and R Ashwin (42) stitched an unbeaten 71 runs partnership to take their side home and complete 2-0 series victory.

The senior cricketer took 6 wickets in the game and if this was not enough he smashed a staggering unbeaten 42 runs to guide his side home with 3 wickets in hand.
