The Hundred tournament women started yesterday with Oval Invincibles beating Manchester Originals by 5 wickets. They chased down the total of 136 with two balls to spare. Today, the same teams in men’s competition will lock horns at London and it is expected that the tournament will have a blockbuster start.

Format of the Hundred
- It’s 100 balls per innings. Whoever scores the most runs wins.
- The fielding side change ends after 10 balls.
- Bowlers deliver either five or 10 consecutive balls. The captain decides.
- Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per game.
Powerplay will be of 25 balls and maximum two fielders will be allowed in the same time. The match will mostly last upto two and a half hours. This short form of the game will attract the fans in the western countries who like to watch not so long games & this could format could also be a part of the Olympics.
