Maheesh Theekshana IPL 2022: In a massive opportunity, Sri Lanka’s mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana is all set to make his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 debut for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in this crucial match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. After delivering some impactful performances for Sri Lanka in his short limited-overs career, Theekshana will now be playing in the IPL alongside some legendary players like MS Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo and skipper Ravindra Jadeja in the Chennai Super Kings side.

During the Indian Premier League 2022 auction, Sri Lanka’s off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana was bought by the Chennai Super Kings at a price worth INR 70 Lakh. Theekshana made his T20I debut for Sri Lanka in September 2021 against South Africa and also bowled impressively well during the last edition of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE. He is just 21 years old and has already played 19 international matches for the Lanka team.
While talking about his overall T20 career so far, Maheesh Theekshana has managed to pick up a total of 51 wickets from 48 games at a brilliant economy of less than 7. He has also taken 14 T20I wickets at an economy of just 6.41.
