Virat Kohli is without a doubt one of the most feared batsmen around the globe and no bowler will say they like bowling to the Indian captain. But, Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has found great success against the World no. 1 ODI and Test batsman. Zampa has dismissed Kohli seven times in limited-overs international cricket. Interestingly, no other bowler has got Kohli out in white-ball cricket as many times as Zampa. Whenever there is an India and Australia match, Zampa vs Kohli is always a faceoff everyone looks forward.

At the 2020 Cricket Australia awards, Adam Zampa was put in a spot of bother when he was asked a tricky question about the Indian captain but the leggie had a hilarious response to it. At the show, Zampa was asked: “You have got Virat Kohli out seven times in international cricket, do you think he is a bit overrated?”. Zampa took some time and said, “It’s a tough question straight up”, after another pause he said, “Yes I think so”. Seconds later, Zampa corrected himself by saying, “No, no”.

The reporter then joked that Zampa might lose his IPL contract because of this. The reporter then asked Zampa,” You have said that you hate grade cricket, now considering that, if you loved it how well would you have played against India and Kohli?”. Zampa once again came up with a hilarious response saying, “The boys have been telling me to do that, but I am not willing to take it to that point.” All of this was meant for humour and nothing else. Zampa, most successful bowler against Kohli in white-ball cricket

Adam Zampa has been the best spinner in white-ball cricket for Australia in recent times and his success against Kohli has surely given his team a lot of confidence on his ability. The two won’t face each for some time now as Zampa got no picks at the IPL auctions this year. Zampa is also the only spinner who has found consistent success against Kohli. In the recently concluded ODI series between India and Australia, Zampa had dismissed Kohli twice.
