Terrible blow for Shane Dowrich
After restricting West Indies for 197 runs in their first innings, England came on the field with the intention to maximize the lead. During one of Gabriel’s over, Shane Dowrich was hit badly in the upper lips after Rory Burns unattended the ball.

The home team are on a rage after bowling out West Indies for a paltry 197 runs in the first innings there by gaining a huge first innings lead of 172 runs which is a match-winning lead by any means. West Indies tried their best to avoid the follow-on and they managed that successfully but couldn’t stretch their 1st innings total beyond 197 runs.
The veteran in Stuart Broad the pick of the wickets as he wreck-havocked the visitors with a 6-fer. He finished with figures of 6 for 31 runs which literally broke the Windies batting line up. He was well supported by James Anderson who was very economical to go along with his 2 wickets.
Can West Indies fight back?
The game is all but done for West Indies once they conceded a huge first innings lead of 172 runs. They looked completely out of gas in their 1st innings and the pace quartet of Chris Woakes, James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Jofra Archer were too much for them. The captain Jason Holder was the top scorer for West Indies with 46 runs followed by Shane Dowrich who scored 37 runs.
England are in a commanding position at the moment with a lead of 226 runs in their 2nd innings.
