The young and ever energetic Shafali Verma is the talking point in the India’s ongoing T20I world cup campaign. The audacity with which she thrashes the bowlers is something new to Indian women’s cricket.
The 16 year old kid is blasting bowlers for fun and dispatches anything that is pitched on hard length. Her hand-eye coordination is something that reminds someone like the Indian men’s team legend Virender Sehwag.
Gorgeous six down the ground
The young pocket-dynamite plays with no fear whatsoever and treating the world class bowlers with no respect. She keeps going hard at the bowlers irrespective of the situation of the game.
Her brisk starts to the Indian innings is giving the Indian girls the much needed momentum with which they can build up to get a defendable score while batting first.
In today’s game against the white ferns, she hammered an eye-catching six down the ground which is touted to be the shot of the game.

India are blessed to have two dynamic and extremely talented young ladies at the top of the order in Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. These two young ladies are turning the heat on in the ongoing world cup campaign in which India are looking hot-favorites to lift the trophy.
Hat-trick of wins for the Indian girls
India started their world cup campaign with an unforeseen victory over the world cup hosts Australians. That win just gave the Indians a much-needed confidence and momentum. Indians then went on to win their game against Bangladesh rather easily and placed one foot in the semi finals.
India completed their hat-trick of victories with their thrilling win over the white ferns and almost guaranteed themselves a place in the semi-finals of the world cup.
India lost the semi-final of the previous edition of the women’s WT20 and they will be looking to make up for that by going 2 steps further to bring the trophy home
