As the WT20 is fast approaching, all the teams have set their eyes on gearing up in full force for the Marquee event which is set to take place in Australia in October this year.

The excitement is sky high as the WT20 is happening after a good part of 4 years. The 5 time world champions will play a brief limited overs that includes 3 T20s and 3 ODIs against the resurgent Proteas in South Africa.

The preparations are going on in full swing as both the teams want to settle their playing XI without much baffle before the WT20.

The modern day great undone by a school boy

The former Australian captain and the world cup winner Steve Smith is considered as one of the modern day greats in the international cricket around the world. The Australians on Thursday decided to take special training session which saw them inviting the local school kids to have a go at them by bowling in the nets.

The world’s #2 batsman in Steve Smith was the one who actively faced the deliveries from the future Shaun Pollock and Allan Donald. The kids bowled their heart out in an attempt to impress the mighty Aussie batters and in the course, a bouncer from a kid bamboozled Steve Smith who was taken by surprise with the pace and bounce of the delivery bowled by the 16 year old kid.

First visit after ball-tampering scandal

This tour will mark the return of Steve Smith and David Warner on the shores of South Africa after their ugly ball-tampering scandal for which they were banned by the Australian cricket board.

This tour will test them mentally as there will be those bad memories which might haunt them but these two are world class players and are matured enough to put those behind and perform well for their country.
