Looks like there’s no stopping for Sarfaraz Khan. Just a couple of days ago, the 22-years old Mumbai batter scored unbeaten 301 against Uttar Pradesh and enrolled himself in the elite club of players having scored a triple century for Mumbai. Continuing his purple patch, Sarfaraz Khan is yet again in trends as he scored a double century in the ongoing Ranji Match against Himachal Pradesh at Dharamshala. The right-hand batter notched up a double century in 199 balls and also helped his side Mumbai who were reeling at 71-4 at once. Mumbai and Himachal Pradesh are locking horns at  Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala in Round 7 of Elite Group A and B.

Sarfaraz Khan bolsters Mumbai innings with double ton  

Earlier, Himachal Pradesh won the toss and invited Mumbai to bat first. The decision from skipper Ankit Kalsi looked very well made as they reduced Mumbai to 16-3 in just five overs. However, another brilliance from the right-hander has put Mumbai into the driving seat.

At the end of Day1, Mumbai scored 372- 5 with Khan unbeaten on 226 off just 213 balls. He has smashed 32 fours and 4 sixes in his innings so far and would be definitely looking to hit another triple century.

Both Mumbai and Himachal Pradesh are tottering in the second half of the Elite Group A and B with just 1 wins each so far in five outings. Mumbai started off the Ranji Trophy campaign with 309 runs win over Baroda but is searching for a win since then. Himachal Pradesh, on the other hand, has one win, one loss and three draws in five outings so far.
