Indian vice-captain in the limited-overs format Rohit Sharma has revealed the name of his five favorite Indian batsmen. Rohit was in an Instagram live chat session with the ‘Turbanator’ Harbhajan Singh where he named his five favorite Indian batsmen whom he has seen playing.
Fab along with Virender Sehwag are Rohit Sharma’s favorite Indian batsman
He was asked about his favorite Indian batsmen to which without any hesitation Rohit picked Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and Sourav Ganguly.

He rated Rahul Dravid’s 2002 England tour very high
After choosing these stalwart names Rohit especially mentioned Rahul Dravid‘s 2002 wherein he mustered 245 runs from just 6 innings in the ODI series averaging 49 which included 3 fifties.
His numbers in the Test matches were even more praiseworthy where he accumulated 602 runs from just 6 innings at a staggering average of 100.33 which included a double-century, 3 hundred and a fifty. Scoring in bulk that too in the English conditions was always going to be a daunting task for a sub-continent batsman but Rahul Dravid changed the perception for everyone.
“Virender Sehwag will always be in my list”, Rohit Sharma
Praising the tendency with which Virender Sehwag has played his cricket over the years, Rohit Sharma like most people is a big fan of him. He said the mindset which Virender Sehwag carries while batting is enough to demolish any bowler’s confidence.
Notably, Virender Sehwag has been a dasher and has played his cricket with freedom. He always used to be in the mind of the bowlers and made himself an intimidating figure for them. He is the first Indian to score a triple-century in Test cricket and has two triple-centuries to his name. He is one of the players from whom Rohit Sharma draws his inspiration.
