Rohit Sharma injury : After a tremendous closely fought India vs England five-match T20I series, India and England are all set to face each other in a three-match ODI series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Just like the last 3 T20Is in Ahmedabad, all the three ODI games will be played behind closed doors. It is expected to be a high-voltage ODI series between two heavyweight white-ball teams as the conditions will mostly suit the batsmen which also make a case for some high-scoring encounters.

England captain Eoin Morgan won yet another toss and elected to field first against India in the first ODI in Pune. India’s experienced opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan looked very much tentative as the scorecard read 39 for no loss after 10 overs. England speedster Mark Wood who troubled the Indian batsmen a lot with his extra pace during the T20I series and once again the pacer’s fierce 148 kmph delivery hit Rohit on the elbow during the 5th over of the match. After being hit by the speeding ball, Rohit was seen in a lot of pain and also received some medical attention.

India vs England: Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna make ODI debuts
Indian captain Virat Kohli stated that both Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna will be making their ODI debuts in the ongoing India vs England 1st ODI match. Apart from the duo, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav are also part of India’s playing XI in this first match of three-match ODI series. On the other hand, England have included the likes of Sam Billings, Moeen Ali and Tom Curran in their line-up and thus, the 2019 World Cup winners will be desperately looking to register their first series win on this India tour.
