The battle of words between the wicket-keepers is getting intense in ongoing Australia versus India Test series. After Aussie captain Tim Paine sledged Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicket-keeper gave it back to the Aussie captain by calling him a temporary captain.
Pant makes it uncomfortable for Paine
The incident occurred during Australia’s second innings on day four of the Melbourne Test. When Aussie captain Tim Paine was batting, Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant asked Mayank Agarwal who was fielding closeby whether he has heard of the team ‘temporary captain’.
Pant referred to Paine as a special guest and also commented that the bowler has to do nothing to get Paine out as the Aussie batsman knows only to talk and not to bat.
The youngster didn’t stop there. He went on and stated that there is no responsibility there from the captain and he is running away always, always running away. Too difficult, too difficult.

Ian Gould asks Pant to be careful
The comments from Pant had little impact on Tim Paine. He didn’t give any reaction to the Indian wicket-keeper and kept on batting.
However, umpire Ian Gould had a word with Pant and asked him to be careful about what he is saying.

The Indian wicket-keeper’s comments are seen as a response to Tim Paine’s sledging on day three. Paine has asked Pant whether he wants to join Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL as Dhoni is back in the ODI side and had asked whether the Indian wicket-keeper can babysit.
