Nicholas Pooran goes berserk, slammed the first 100 of CPL 2020

Guyana Amazon Warriors were chasing a stiff target of 151 runs posted by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. They looked down and out at a point as they were reduced to 25/3 in 6 overs by the Patriots. However, Nicholas Pooran had different ideas in his mind. The left-handed southpaw slammed a hundred off 45 deliveries to give a knock-out punch to the Patriots. Pooran hit 10 sixes during his record-breaking including three consecutive sixes off Ish Sodhi to complete the chase.

The Warriors needed 16 runs off the last 3 overs to win. With Nicholas Pooran on strike, Ish Sodhi came on to bowl the 18th over. Pooran hit 3 sixes off first three deliveries to kill the game. On the very first delivery, he danced off the track to hit it over the wide long-on. He carved the 2nd delivery, which was a googly over the cover boundary. He slog-swept the 3rd delivery over the midwicket to complete a whirlwind hundred.
