Nicholas Pooran Stumping: In a game between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Nicholas Pooran pulled off an MSD-like stumping to dismiss Evin Lewis. It was a brilliant show of skills and quick reactions from the keeper to send the batsman back to the hut.
Nicholas Pooran did an MS Dhoni to dismiss Evin Lewis
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots were off to a decent start against Guyana Amazon Warriors courtesy some quick runs from Evin Lewis. The left-handed batsman was going all guns blazing after scoring four 4s and two 6s to score 30 runs off 18 deliveries. During the last over of the powerplay bowled by Chris Green, Pooran delivered a moment of brilliance. It was the 4th delivery of the over and Chris Green bowled a half-volley wide of off stump. Lewis failed to reach the ball after going full-stretch and slipped in the process losing the balance. And just when his back foot slid out, at that exact moment Nicholas Pooran takes off the bails to complete a brilliant stumping.
These types of stumping are synonymous with the Indian great MS Dhoni. Pooran also displayed the same presence of mind and quick reflexes to complete an outstanding stumping.

In case you didn’t know –Â
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots were up against Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2nd game on Wednesday in the ongoing CPL 2020. Batting first, SNP could not do much with the bat as they could only manage 127/8 in their 20 overs. Only Evin Lewis (30 runs) and Ben Dunk (29 runs) could provide some stability to the batting. Keemo Paul picked up 4 wickets with the ball for the Warriors. However, the Patriots fought hard with the ball to give GAW a run for their money. But, a brilliant knock of 71 runs off 44 balls from Shimron Hetmyer helped the Warriors to register their first win of the season. The Patriots are still winless after 2 games.
