The Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a disappointing afternoon in Wellington as he got dismissed for a meager score of 11 in the fourth T20I against New Zealand.
With Rohit Sharma being given a rest, it was Sanju Samson who was given an opportunity right at the top alongside KL Rahul. However, Samson couldn’t make the most of it and was dismissed in the second over of the game.
Virat Kohli came in at number three but Hamish Bennett got the big wicket by banging in one short. the ball struck the leading edge and ballooned towards the cover region as the ever so athletic Mitchell Santnerlunged in the air to complete the catch.

Though Santner did drop Ravindra Jadeja in the previous game, the left-arm spinner’s efforts in the field have been top-notch. Apart from contributing in the field to get Kohli dismissed. Santner also took the catches of KL Rahul and Sanju Samson.
Manish Pandey rises to the occasion
The Kiwis started out well and bagged six wickets for a score of 88 in 11 overs. However, Manish Pandey rescued the Indian innings by coming in at number six and scored a well-constructed knock of 50 from 36 deliveries.
A few streaky boundaries by Shardul Thakur and Navdeep Saini towards the end assisted Pandey and the Men in Blue to add 165 for the loss of 8 on the board by the end of 20 overs.
For the Kiwis, Tim Southee, Scott Kuggeleijn, and Mitchell Santner took a wicket apiece, while, Hamish Bennet picked two. But it was the wrist-spinner, Ish Sodhi who stood out for his figures of three for 26 from four overs.
