Indian captain Vira Kohli displayed his fielding skills as he took a stunning catch to dismiss Aussie batsman Peter Handscomb in the second Test at Perth.
Kohli’s marvellous catch strengthens India’s grip on the Test
India had a poor start to the Perth Test. They lost the toss and then didn’t get any wickets in the first session of the game.
But the visitors came back strongly and removed both the openers and Khawaja in the second session. India needed a wicket after tea to dominate the game and Kohli stepped up to do the job.
Courtesy of some tight bowling by pacers and Kohli’s amazing fielding skills India got another wicket after tea to push Australia back.
According to CricViz Fielding Impact—which measures the value of fielding by considering the difficulty of the fielding event and the run value of the event (which varies according to the batsman)—Virat Kohli's catch was worth +23.50 runs to India. #AUSvIND

Peter Handscomb tried to cut Ishant Sharma’s short delivery. But the batsman didn’t get the room to free his arms and the ball sailed towards third-man region after finding the edge of Handscomb’s bat.
But the Indian captain standing at the slips showed stunning reflexes and jumped to his right. He stretched his body to reach the ball and took a mind-boggling one-handed catch.
