During the 3rd T20I between Australia and South Africa, proteas trumpcard Kagiso Rabada cleaned up Steve Smith cheaply, only to realise later that it was a no ball. Smith capitalized on this luck and went on to smash 30 runs from just 15 balls, helping Aussies to reach a formidable total.

The incident happened in the first ball of the penultimate over of the first innings. Proteas pace bowler Kagiso Rabada knocked over Steve Smith with a yorker that slipped in at 127Kph. The Aussie shuffled across the stumps to flick the ball only to miss it and see his stumps shattered. But the on field umpires wanted to check the front foot and came to the conclusion that the speedster has overstepped and it was a no ball. Smith later on carried on this luck to make a quick fire 30 runs of 15 balls.

Smith capitalizes
Steve Smith, who batted way below his preferred batting position almost did the job of a finisher with ease. Wade and Marsh were given opportunities up the order as Warner and Finch took the Aussies to flier. Even though both of Wade and Marsh failed to grab their opportunities, Australia’s premier batsman Smith made a quick fire 30 runs of 15 balls at a staggering strike rate of 200, justifying his move down the order. This innings came in as a surprise as Steve Smith was traditionally known as a test batsman. But this innings of him showed the world why he is one of the best in the world, who can adapt to any format and any situations.
Aussies clinch the seriesÂ
An all-round dominant display by Australia helped them clinch the series-decider at Newlands by 97 runs, on Wednesday, against South Africa and seal the series win 2-1.
Opener David Warner (57 off 37) and skipper Aaron Finch (55 off 37) piloted Australia to a commanding 193/5 before leg-spinner Adam Zampa took two stunning outfield catches and registered figures of 2/10 from three overs.
