Ten teams have gathered in Australia to take part in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 which is scheduled to start on February 21. England women’s team players donned their new jerseys and appeared on a small game show named “Cricket Charades”. The video was released on Twitter and featured English players Katherine Brunt, Fran Wilson and Freya Davies.
Watch: Fran Wilson does the impression of Archer, Rashid and Malinga
The game show was quite simple. Fran Wilson, the hard-hitting batsmen, was given the task to do impressions of several cricketers, from both men’s cricket and women’s cricket. On the other hand, Katherine Brunt and Freya Davies had to guess the player’s name while Fran Wilson does her impression. At first, it was Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry’s impression, which both Davies and Brunt got easily. Later, there was a moment when Wilson was told to do Brunt’s impression which she did in a very hilarious way. Brunt laughed at it as Davies and Wilson kept chuckling. Watch the video here:

After this, Wilson also did impressions of Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and Sri Lanka pacer Lasith Malinga. Jofra Archer’s impression was also pulled off quite nicely by Wilson. Other than this, she had to do the impressions of Sophie Devine, England women’s captain Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont and Jack Leach.
England to open their tournament against South Africa on Feb 23
England women’s team will play their opening match against South Africa on February 23 at the WACA Stadium in Perth. In the last edition, which took place in West Indies in 2018, England had made it to the finals but lost the trophy to the Australian side. England has been grouped with Pakistan, Thailand, South Africa and West Indies. The English side is one of the strongest in the competition and is likely to qualify for the knockout stages as well.
