Former Pakistani fast bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan gave his opinion on the Shoaib Akhtar-Virender Sehwag spat which has been making rounds on the internet for the last few days. Rana Naved quit stern with his words about Sehwag as he didn’t shy away from even threatening the former Indian batsman.
It all started when Virender Sehwag had said in an interview that Shoaib Akhtar only speaks well about the Indian players because he gets opportunities to earn money in India. Akhtar had responded with some furious words a few days back and now, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan has joined him in taking on Sehwag.
Rana Naved-ul-Hasan back Akhtar’s words, warns Sehwag
In a video released on his official YouTube channel, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan said, “Sehwag’s comments are absolutely ridiculous and not true. I am here to speak as I think Sehwag can’t digest us praising Indian players.”
“We don’t talk good things about Indians because we want to get on Indian television. We were quite blessed with everything and I am thankful to God for that. He had said something like this two years back as well but we have enough of this now.”
Sehwag in an interview two year back had jokingly said that Rana Naved-ul-Hasan had praised his captaincy in because he thinks might get a new job here in India. He had said many former cricketers like Shoaib Akhtar and Saqlain Mushtaq are also doing this because the market in Indian is bigger than in their own country.
“Want you to shut up”, says Rana Naved to Sehwag
Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, who played his last international match in 2010, also went on say, “I want to say this because I want him to shut up on the social media. He is not supposed to speak like that about our legendary players. Legends should be respected and I warn him not to talk rubbish about our legendary cricketers. ”
