AB de Villiers is rightfully referred to as ‘Mr 360’ in world cricket, purely because of his impeccable ability of executing the big shots all around the park like no other.
The people of India, particularly Bangalore consider themselves lucky to have a close look at ABD up close and personal on annual basis where he more often than not unlocks his true potential. That being said, if there is anyone as popular as the skipper Virat Kohli from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise, then it has to be AB de Villiers.
However the former South African batsman is quite popular in other parts of India as well. Recently Suresh Raina and Yuzvendra Chahal interacted on live stream where they spoke highly in regard of de Villiers.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) frontline batsmen went onto say that he himself is a fan of ABD and it almost feels like he was born in India given the support he gets here.

“I’m a huge fan of Ab de Villiers. He is a top cricketer. AB and Virat had so many good partnerships. It feels like he was a Bangalore-born person living in South Africa,” Raina said in the live session.
RCB’s wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also agreed to his counterpart and spoke about how the crowd chants his name and goes wild when he enters the field with the bat in hand.
“I’ve seen that wherever he plays in India– be it Bangalore or Mumbai, the crowd keeps cheering ‘AB! AB!.”
The sheer numbers
Talking about his numbers, AB de Villiers has featured in 154 games in the IPL and has scored 4395 runs with a strike rate of 151.24 which also includes 33 fifties and three, centuries under his belt. ABD’s best individual score is of 133 that came against the mighty Mumbai Indians.
