The IPL Mania is all over the country once again with the top T20 cricketers playing in the tournament. In the Match 10 of the IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore faced Kolkata Knight Riders. The RCB team did not get off to a good start, the wickets of Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar contained the score in the powerplay overs. But Padikkal and Maxwell stitched an important partnership of 86 runs to stabilize the team. Then, the latter stitched another terrific partnership to help the team post a score of 204. Glenn Maxwell was dismissed on 78 and De Villiers remained unbeaten on 76.

Daniel Christian Diving Catch to dismiss Shubman Gill

While chasing a total of 205, the KKR team got off to a good start in the powerplay overs but their openers perished and it was dependent on the middle-order to chase down the score. Shubman Gill, who was looking in great touch scored 21 off 9 balls but Daniel Christian took a brilliant catch on the mid-on position off Kyle Jamieson in the 2nd over of the innings.

The middle-order once again tumbled and could not provide a boost to the team in the middle-overs. In the end, Andre Russell tried to chase down the score but could not be successful in his attempt.

What can be changes expected for KKR in next match? 

The KKR team has now lost 2 matches while chasing down the total. In the previous match against MI, they were given a target of 153, and today they had to score 205 runs to win the match. Players like Dinesh Karthik, Eoin Morgan, and Russell have not been able to push their strike rate and their contribution will be imminent to start the winning momentum.

Kuldeep Yadav can replace Harbhajan Singh as he has been ordinary in the 3 league matches, while Sunil Narine can come in place of Shakib Al Hasan who has not been able to perform well for the team.
