Indian bowlers rattled NZ XI batting
After a disappointing show from the batsmen on the opening day, the Indian fast bowling duo of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah enjoyed the day on a green Seddon Park pitch as the two rattled New Zealand on Day 2 of their tour practice match at Hamilton on Saturday.

Bumrah’s was a concern for the Indian side ahead of the 2-match Test series as the pace spearhead went wicketless in the recently concluded ODI series where the visitors were whitewashed 3-0 by New Zealand. However, Bumrah got back to wicket-taking ways as soon as he began the proceeding with the new red ball on Saturday.
Will Young and Rachin Ravindra came out to open for New Zealand on Day 2 as Bumrah removed the former cheaply in the 3rd over itself.
Mohammed Shami, who was rested for the last 2 ODIs to start fresh in the Test series, thereafter Tim Seifert to leave New Zealand reeling at 36 for 2. Bumrah struck again immediately after Lunch to remove the well-set Finn Allen. Shami then denied Cooper a fifty and came back to castle Jimmy Neesham for just one.
