During the opening match of the CPL 2020, Brandon King of Guyana Amazon Warriors took a blinder to dismiss Tim Seifert of Trinbago Knight Riders. It was the first game of the latest edition as both sides were trying to give their best to begin their campaign on the right foot.
Brandon King’s efforts sent Tim Seifert packing
After 15th over of the TKR’s innings, the Knight Riders needed 15 runs in the last 2 overs to begin their campaign with a win. The match was reduced to 17 overs each after rain created trouble before the match. Trinbago Knight Riders were looking firm favourites to claim the victory with 6 wickets in hand. Guyana Amazon Warriors were looking for some inspiration in the field and Brandon King provided them with an extra boost.
Keemo Paul bowled the first delivery of the 16th over to Tim Seifert. The delivery was short and wide, and Seifert punted that delivery in the air wide of mid-off. Brandon King came out of nowhere to pluck the ball out of the thin air with his left hand to grab a stunner.
