England have come out all guns blazing on the 5th day morning of the 2nd test at Old Trafford after accumulating a first innings lead of 182 runs. The two overnight batsmen for England in Joe Root and Ben Stokes came out with the sole intention to take the attack to the opposition and Ben Stokes in particular played an eye-catching shot that sailed over the bowlers head for a massive six.
Stunning six by Ben Stokes
Today being the last day of the game, England are in the driver’s seat to say the least. After the whole of 3rd day getting washed out without a ball being bowled, England would feel disappointed as they have lost one valuable day’s play but they can still win this test if they give themselves at least 85 overs with the ball to bowl out Windies.
At the start of the day’s play, Ben Stokes smashed a straight six which made the intentions of the batter very clear.
No messing around from @benstokes38 this morning! ?

After losing the 1st test of the series, England were desperate for a victory to level the series but that didn’t stop them from experimenting with their bowling attack as they dropped the legend Jimmy Anderson for the 2nd test.
Once they had to drop their tearaway quick in Jofra Archer who breached the bio-secure protocols, they had to play with the pace attack that comprised of Stuart Broad, Sam Curran, And Chris Woakes with Ben Stokes as the 4th seamer.
The bowling attack that looked bleak did very well to restrict the visitors to 287 runs in their 1st innings that helped England to gather a 182 runs lead which might prove to be a game changing moment.
Golden chance for Windies to stay ahead
At best, the Windies boys might have to play around 85 overs which they are completely capable of to save the test and stay 1-nil up in the 3 match test series.
