England batsman Jonny Bairstow announced his arrival in the T10 cricket in style as he hammered 84 runs off just 24 balls to produce the highest individual score in T10 league. His sensational innings helped his team Kerala Knights to chase a target of 124 runs with seven wickets in hand against Bengal Tigers.
Bairstow unleashes furry, slams eight sixes, six fours
The England batsman made of mockery of Bengal’s total of 124 runs as he smashed eight sixes and six fours in his stunning innings. Bairstow arrived at the crease with the team in trouble and scoreboard reading two down for 12 runs. The situation became worse as skipper Eoin Morgan was sent back for a golden duck.
However the right-hand batsman counter-attacked to push the Tigers’ bowlers on the back-foot and ensured there was no more damage done.

Bairstow breaks Shahzad’s record
Earlier in the T10 league, Afghanistan batsman Mohammad Shahzad had smashed 74 runs off just 16 balls to score the highest individual score of the tournament.
However by scoring 84 runs off just 24 balls the England wicket-keeper batsman has surpassed Shahzad to register the highest individual score of the tournament.

Bairstow is in fine form recently as he scored a solid hundred against Sri Lanka in the third Test. It was his comeback match in international cricket after suffering from an injury and he even won the man of the match award in the Test.
The wicket-keeper batsman will be available for Knights for the remaining matches and can also feature in the knock-out games if the team qualifies.
