The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has come down to one final showdown. Kolkata Knight Riders after an emphatic victory against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 have booked their place in the finals. The Eoin Morgan-led side will take on Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday (15th October). While the Ms Dhoni-led side has been the top side in the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders have made a comeback for ages. From winning 2 matches in 7 games to reaching the finals, their turnaround has been a remarkable one.
Varun Chakravarthy injury scare
Varun Chakravarthy has been one of the mainstays in the bowling department for Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2021. So far in 16 games, Chakravarthy has bagged 18 wickets at an economy rate of just over 6.

The mystery spinner in Qualifier 2 against Delhi Capitals bowled a sensational spell, removing both the openers. He, however, after finishing his spell of 4 overs gave KKR and Indian fans a mini heart attack as he was seen limping off the field with physio.
Though there’s no official confirmation about his injury, a few days earlier it was reported that Varun Chakravarthy’s knees are not in the greatest of condition and the mystery spinner is in pain. If the reports are to be believed then it will be a major blow for Kolkata Knight Riders and Team India, considering the big IPL 2021 final followed by the T20 World Cup. However, it remains to be seen if the 30-year-old will regain his fitness or not.
