Team India made a brave call ahead of the Perth Test and picked four pace bowlers in their playing eleven. However, India included Umesh Yadav ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the team and this decision hasn’t gone well with some fans who have questioned Indian team management’s decision on Twitter.
India pick Ishant, Bumrah, Shami and Umesh
The green and hard surface at Perth enticed Team India to field a four-man pace attack for the only third time in the history.
And while picking his four pacers Indian skipper Virat Kohli went ahead with Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami who played in the first Test and included Umesh Yadav as the fourth pacer.
This meant Bhuvneshwar Kumar had to warm the benches for the second Test in a row.
The decision to not include Bhuvi on a wicket with plenty of grass and movement has disappointed the fans who expressed their dissent on Twitter.
Fans slam Kohli and Team management for not choosing Bhuvi
Soon after India declared their playing eleven for the second Test against Australia, fans tweeted their disappointment and questioned Kohli’s decision.

What a poor decision to get Umesh ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhuvi would have been useful with bat as well. In last game, Virat said, they will look to strength lower-order batting but now, we can't even expect 30 runs from them. #PoorCall #AUSvIND #perth

Bhuvneshwar Kumar should have made it to the Playing 11 given his added batting abilities. Kohli is underestimating the ablities Bhuvi in Test for sure. #TeamIndia #AUSvIND #PerthTest #ChhodnaMat

I hope Kohli knows how well our last 4 bats !! Ishant shami bumrah and umesh, can’t guarantee 10 runs combined…
Must have been Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the no.1 swing bowler in both teams#Perth #INDvAUS— शिवोऽहम् ?? (@Shiv_Linga) December 14, 2018

Bhuvneshwar Kumar might be a good choice than Umesh Yadav but ? #AUSvIND

One of the most positive points in #BhuvneshwarKumar is he has batting skills also.#ausvind#AUSvsIND#AusvsIndia

Totally agree with @MClarke23! Leaving out #BhuvneshwarKumar is really surprising! He is the best suited for this condition among the bowlers of both teams! #INDvAUS

Australia off to a flying start
Meanwhile, the hosts have got off to a flying start after winning the toss. Opening batsman Marcus Harris has looked solid so far and has reached his maiden Test fifty.

His opening partner Aaron Finch looked good too and the duo scored 112 runs for the first wicket. Importantly the Aussie opening pair kept India wicket-less in the first session of the Test ensuring Australia start on a high note.
Finch perished after lunch at his individual score of 50 runs but he did the crucial job of seeing off the new ball.
