Watch Rohit’s rare scoop shot and rare celebration after hundred
The Indian opener is generally known for playing proper cricket shots and has been gathering runs by focusing on timing rather than improvisation.
However, against Windies at Lucknow, he did something strange. He played a scoop shot and that too while batting on 96. The right-hand batsman knew that the fielder at fine-leg was inside the circle and hence scoped a full-toss over the head of that fielder to complete his hundred.

But that was not the only strange thing done by the Indian skipper. He had an animated celebration after the hundred which is again quite contrary to what he is known for.

Rohit slammed several records while batting at Lucknow. He became the first batsman in the world to score 4 T20 international centuries. Even more astonishing is the fact that three of those centuries have come in the last 12 months.
#INDvsWI | A big congratulations to @ImRo45 as he smashed his way into the record books of #T20 internationals. The Indian opener becomes the first ever player to slam 4 centuries in international cricket's shortest format.
