3. Rohit Sharma (423 Sixes)
The Indian opener reigns supreme on every bowling line-up when he is on a song. The year 2013 completely changed his fortunes, when skipper MS Dhoni promoted him to open the innings alongside Shikhar Dhawan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. Since then, he hasn’t looked back and has been taking giant leaps.
From 364 matches across formats, the stylish right-hander has 476 sixes to his name and is the front runner to the number one spot for most international sixes.
2. Shahid Afridi (476 Sixes)
Six-hitting and ‘Boom-Boom’ Shahid Afridi‘s love affair is one of the most familiar things in world cricket. The Pakistan all-rounder has always believed in sending the ball into the orbit ever since he made his debut in 1996.
His sixes tally suggests, 52 sixes in Tests, 351 in ODI which is the most in this format and 73 sixes in T20Is. He also has retired from international cricket which means the tally of 500 international sixes will elude him.
1. Chris Gayle (534 Sixes)
Hitting sixes at will and being the most intimidating figures and a bowlers nightmare defines Christopher Henry Gayle. The big Jamaican and the ‘Universe Boss’ is a veteran of 461 matches across formats and still spitting fire at the age of 40.
He is the only player in the world currently to hit more than 500 sixes in international cricket. His next target is the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020 which could very well be his last international assignment.
