Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has made a shocking statement on India Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The former Pakistani all-rounder has said that the relationship between India and Pakistan cannot improve until Modi’s reign.
Modi “inclined towards negativity”: Shahid Afridi
“Till Modi is in power, I don’t think we will get any response from India. We have all, including Indians, understood the way Modi thinks. His thinking is inclined towards negativity,” said Shahid Afridi in an interview when asked about bilateral cricketing ties between the two nations.
“Relationship between India and Pakistan has been damaged because of one person only. And that is not what we want. People from either side of the border want to travel to each other’s country. I don’t understand what Modi wants to do and what his agenda really is,” he added.
No bilateral Indo-Pak series since 2013
The two teams sides have only met in the ICC majors recently. The last bilateral series played was in 2013 when Pakistan travelled to India for a three-match ODI series. On the other hand, India’s last visit to Pakistan was in 2006.
