Mumbai have got a major fillip ahead of the impending semi-final round of the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, with the likes of Prithvi Shaw and India’s Test vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane set to be a part of the side.
The inclusion of Shaw and Rahane comes after Rohit Sharma made himself available for the Quarter-Finals, that saw Mumbai overcome Bihar in a lop-sided affair by nine wickets to qualify for the semis.

Mumbai’s journey in Vijay-Hazare Trophy thus far
Mumbai is yet to drop a game in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. They capped off the league-stage with six wins in eight matches to set-up a quarter-final bout with Bihar.
The Shreyas Iyer-led unit carried on their impeccable run in the quarter-finals as well as Tushar Deshpande [5-23] ran riot to bowl Bihar out for a paltry 69 in 28.2 overs.
Chasing 70, Akhil Herwadkar (24) and Rohit Sharma (33) stitched a 53-run stand before Herwadkar holed out to Ashutosh Aman (1-6).
Rohit Sharma, with 33, remained unbeaten to take his side past the finishing line. Mumbai will now lock horns with Ambati Rayudu’s Hyderabad in the semi-final at the Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bengaluru on Thursday, October 18th.
While Shaw and Rahane are not the part of India’s ODI squad that will take on the Windies in the ODI series starting October 21, Sharma will look to get himself match ready ahead of the five-match rubber.
