The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is set to kick off on October 16 in Australia. Sri Lanka will face Namibia in the opening game of the tournament.
Australia won the last T20 World Cup in UAE defeating New Zealand in the final clash. The hosts will be keen to defend the title as the 16-team event will comprise 45 games from October-November.
The group-stage qualifying matches will be played between October 16 to October 21. Eight teams will fight for four spots in the Super 12 round. The Super 12 round will commence on October 22. The final, meanwhile, will be played on November 13, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
