India haven’t won an ICC trophy since 2013. They have qualified for the semi final and the final of almost every ICC tournament since 2013 except the 2021 T20 world cup and yet, they don’t have an ICC trophy to show. The upcoming T20 world cup in Australia will be India’s big opportunity to place their hands on an ICC trophy in the last so many years.
Lets take a look at 5 reasons why India can go all the way through and win T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
1. settled core
India have a settled core which could well be their biggest strength going into this world cup. They were knocked out in the Asia Cup 2022 but that didn’t make them any reactionary changes respect to their squad. They have pretty much named a similar squad to that of Asia cup in addition to 2 of their fast bowlers who are returning from the injury, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel.
2. AN intimidating top 3 for Australian conditions
India’s top 3 will be one of the best in the T20 world cup. Though, KL Rahul’s form hasn’t been upto the mark, his ability to play in the bouncy conditions is right up there with the best in the business. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have got best backfoot games in world cricket.
3. ONE of the best death bowling pairs
Although Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are coming after an injury break and the fact that Harshal Patel doesn’t have experience playing in Australia, on paper, these 2 bowlers are 2 of the best T20I bowlers in slog overs. India also have a quality new ball bowler in Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This fast bowling attack surely lacks overall pace but they don’t lack on their skillset.

4. THE Rohit Sharma- Rahul Dravid partnership
India under this new management struggled pretty badly in their first multinational tournament in the Asia Cup, where they couldn’t even rectify their mistakes within the tournament. But Rahul Dravid is hailed as one of the most tactically shrewd coaches in world cricket. If they can get their act together and learn from their mistakes in the Asia Cup, they could go all the way in the WT20.

5. KING Kohli back in form
There were question marks around Virat Kohli’s place in the T20 world cup squad but the man has silenced one and all with a spine chilling Asia cup 2022. He ended up as the highest run scorer for India. He also has mind boggling records in Australia in T20Is
