However, the fate of the Virat Kohli-led side now lies in the hands of Afghanistan, who’ll take on New Zealand on 7th November.
If the Mohammad Nabi-led side managed to defeat the ‘Black Caps’, Team India will then have a great chance to qualify for the semi-finals as they will just have to beat Namibia.
With the match between Afghanistan and New Zealand holding a crucial value for Team India. Premier off-spinner R Ashwin wished the Mohammad Nabi-led side luck and cheekily stated that India is willing to help in the recovery of Mujib Ur Rahman ahead of the match.
Afghanistan spinner, Rashid Khan sarcastically replied in Telugu, saying that their team physio is treating them well.
“@ashwinravi99 Bhai Don’t worry our team Physio Prasanth Panchada ‘Chusukuntunnaru,” Rashid Khan Tweeted
This loosely translates to “Don’t worry brother, Afghanistan’s team physio Prasanth Panchada is treating the players well.”
