Suryakumar Yadav Debut: The chance to don the famous Indian blue shirt was a long time coming for Suryakumar Yadav. But as they say, better late than never. The 30-year-old Mumbai Indians star will finally get to represent India in the T20s after years of heartbreaks, some high and lows and negligence from Indian selectors at times.
This is Yadav’s chance now to share the dressing room with the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after decades of hard work and sweat in the domestic circuit. A fully deserved call.

Reason For Suryakumar Yadav Debut?
You must be wondering why we are so sure about Suryakumar Yadav debut in the IND vs ENG 1st T20 match. After all, Team India captain Virat Kohli didn’t mention whether Yadav will take the field against England or not. But Kohli confirmed that KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will be the openers, and with Kohli himself batting at no-3, it’s fair to assume that Shreyas Iyer and Yadav will bat at no-4 and no-5 respectively.
Also, The Mumbai Indians batsman himself confirmed the news of him playing in the first T20. On his Instagram story, Yadav shared a post by Sahil Khan, a fitness icon, where the news was broken.
Yadav also commented on that post with some emojis.

It was a hard pill to swallow for Yadav, who racked up 480 runs for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 at an incredible strike-rate of over 145 in IPL 2020. Yadav’s highest score of 79 runs off 43 balls came against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore, where a little tussle between the pair became fodder for social media memes.
