Suresh Raina to replace Rayudu in India’s ODIs squad for England

Suresh Raina can hope for a strong comeback after being named as Ambati Rayudu’s replacement in upcoming India’s tour of England starting from July.
Rayudu was dropped from the ODI squad after he failed to prove fitness at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and BCCI confirmed Suresh Raina as his replacement.

Raina played his last ODI in 2015. The 31-year-old is a seasoned campaigner with more than 5000 runs under his belt.

It has been learnt that the team management and selection committee had some conflicts over finding Rayudu’s replacement. Many were considering the name of Pant, but he could not make a cut in the national team despite having a brilliant IPL campaign.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma who had not appeared for the Yo-Yo test on 15th June appeared for the test at the NCA on Sunday.
Starting on July 3, India would be playing three Twenty20 Internationals, Three ODIs and Five Test matches against England.
