Huge loss for CSK
Suresh Raina is a mainstay of CSK batting for more than a decade now. The southpaw had recently announced his retirement from international cricket alongside former India captain and CSK skipper MS Dhoni. Raina is the highest run-getter for Chennai in the IPL with 5,368 runs. The left-handed batsman is also the second-highest run-getter in IPL history after Virat Kohli who has 5,412 runs.
CSK camp was upbeat before landing in UAE for the forthcoming season. In the last edition of IPL, CSK lost the IPL 2019 final to Mumbai Indians. CSK is the second most successful side in the competition with three titles while Mumbai Indians are ahead of on titles with four.
