Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain: The 2016 IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad are all set to announce their skipper for the upcoming 2023 IPL season. South African all-rounder Aiden Markram is the new captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad taking the reigns from Kane Williamson who was picked up by Gujarat Titans during the 2023 IPL auctions. Sunrisers Hyderabad official Twitter handle made the announcement with a video post,

Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain: Aiden Markram

Markram isn’t new to captaincy. He recently led Sunrisers Eastern Cape to the inaugural SA20 title earlier this month. After a fine show in SA20 with bat, ball and captaincy it was expected that Aiden Markram would be named the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad as well. The all-rounder has been in rich vein of form in T20s in the last year or so and this added responsibility would only grace his game.

SRH haven’t named a deputy yet for Markram, but it is expected that Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the vice-captain of the team as he has led Sunrisers Hyderabad previously in the absence of their regular skipper.
