England are in the brink of leveling the series 1-1 after restricting the Windies to 25 runs for 3 wickets in the last day of the 2nd test at Old Trafford. The wicket started to show all sorts of bad signs as the 5th day of the pitch should be.
The 34 years old right arm fast medium bowler Stuart Broad who is 10 wickets short of joining 500 wicket club has been in a mood to wreck-havoc the Windies batters on the last day of the match. He bowled an absolute ripper of a delivery to Shai Hope to break his defense to destroy the stumps.
Scrambled seam doing the trick for Stuart Broad
The new ball bowlers in Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad made the new red cherry to talk after England setting a target of 312 runs. Stuart Broad removed John Campbell in the first over of the Windies’s chase to start with. The other new ball partner in Chris Woakes dismissed Kraigg Brathwaitte by catching him plumb before the wicket
The wicket of the morning was that of Shai Hope who got cleaned up by the veteran Stuart Broad with an in-dipper that kept low. Here’s the clipping of Shai Hope’s wicket

Shai Hope’s awful test run continues as he is looking completely out of touch ever since his twin tons at Headingly when the Windies toured England last time around. Shai Hope averages 26 with the bat and those are pretty ordinary numbers for a premium #3 batsman. Its only a matter of time that West Indies move on from Shai Hope.
Can West Indies save the test?
West Indies need to bat out another 75 overs to save the test to stay 1-nil up in the all important 3 match test series that comes under the WTC (World Test Championship). West Indies are struggling at 25 for 3 at the moment with Roston Chase and Shamarh Brooks at the crease trying to save the day for West Indies.
