Watch: Liton Das, Lahiru Kumara FIGHT after the wicket
The ongoing SL vs BAN encounter saw a massive drama on the field after the dismissal of Bangladesh opener Liton Das. Sri Lanka’s experienced pacer Lahiru Kumara got the wicket of Liton during the 8th over of the match. However, just after the dismissal, Kumara, Liton and Mohammad Naim were engaged in an angry tussle as the players from both the teams got involved in the heated face-off. Eventually, the on-field umpires had to separate the players and clear the situation. Incidentally, Kumara also came up with an unnecessary wild throw at Naim during his previous over in the same match and this might have been the starting point of the fight.

On the other hand, Bangladesh started off their T20 World Cup campaign with a disappointing loss against Scotland, however, they came back strongly with victories against Oman and Papua New Guinea. In the 11 T20I matches played between these two teams, Sri Lanka have dominated the proceedings with as many as 7 wins while Bangladesh have emerged victorious on 4 occasions.
