SRH vs RR: After having a horrendous campaign in last season, Sunrisers Hyderabad would be hoping to turn the tables and eye second trophy in IPL 2022. The ‘Orange Army’ will kick start their campaign against Rajasthan Royals on 29th March at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Sunrisers Hyderabad surprised many with their retentions ahead of the IPL 2022 auction. The Hyderabad based franchise picked skipper Kane Williamson, young all-rounder Abdul Samad and fiery uncapped pacer Umran Malik as the three retentions.
They had an impressive auction as they picked some sensational young talents and their auction strategy depicted they formed a core group for coming years.
SRH have all players available barring Australia fast bowler Sean Abbott for their first match of the IPL 2022. The pacer will be engaged in the white-ball series against Pakistan and will miss the first three games for the franchise.
Probable Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing XI
Sunrisers Hyderabad is likely to open with Abhishek Sharma, who impressed many last seasons batting at the same position. It is expected that he will be partnered with Rahul Tripathi at the top.
Skipper Kane Williamson along with wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram are most likely to bay at 3,4 and 5 respectively.
They will be followed by all-rounders in Abdul Samad and Washington Sundar, who will also handle the spin department. Whereas the likes of Marco Jansen, T Natarajan and Umran Malik are expected to be the three fast bowlers in the lineup.
